VISITOR REGISTRATION
In CKNP, management activities are oriented to respond to tourists’ expectations, environment protection and landscape conservation.
Knowledge about visitors characteristics it is one of the main factor to take into consideration while promoting sustainable tourism.
Therefore, before entering the Park, every visitor has to complete the VISITOR ENTRY FORM.
Visitor can fill in the registration form only in the three registration centres in Askoli, Hushey and Hisper or at CKNP Headqarters in Skardu.

Some different fees are due in order to facilitate the park management. Some of those depends on the services utilized. All the fees goes to CKNP Management and Local Community.

  • Entry fee: Every visitor has to pay an entry fee.
    To be paid: at the three registration centres in Askoli, Husey and Hisper or at CKNP Headqarters in Skardu.

  • Campsite and waste management fee: Visitors who want to make a trek and spend some days into the Park have to pay the campsite and waste management fee. The fee is different for each trek. To know the price see the trekking list on this website.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PERMITS AND ROYALTIES
These royalties and permits have to be paid and required directly by Tour Operator to the Federal Government in Islamabad. The amounts are not regulated by CKNP Management plan and does not go to the CKNP Directorate.

  • Permit and royalty for climbing Peak: to climb a Peak it is necessary to require a permission and to pay a royalty. Some peaks are royalty and permit free.
    Amount: depends on the Peak.
  • Trekking Permit: to walk through treks in Baltoro area, considered by Federal Government Restricted Area, it is necessary to require a permission and to pay a royalty.
    Amount: 50 dollars person.
  • Pollution Fee.
    Amount: 200 dollars per expedition.
